Ultrasonic 2-D Knife Cutting

Offering a wide variety of material options from expanded metal, commercial flooring materials to advanced composites for aerospace, Ultrasonic Knife Cutting allows super high production rates up to 2m/s. Having several of these machines in-house allows CRT to cut an unlimited variety of materials from vinyl and rubber to carbon and glass fiber in dry cloth, pre-preg and UD or woven.

With extremely tight tolerance and precision we can easily cut honeycomb, Kevlar, Zylon and a host of other difficult to cut materials. With high speed, precision and the ability to stack multiple layers 25mm thick, Ultrasonic Knife Cutting is a tremendous production advantage. Oh by the way, no tooling cost.

On our smaller units we can manufacture prototypes, proof of concept, test phase or small or medium production runs. Through our Die-Less Knife Cutting system we take your idea from engineering concept to production ready. Custom components are produced using your CAD file or we can work from prints and even replicate from an existing part.
